Who are Pathfinders?

Pathfinders are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, though young people of any religious persuasion, or none at all, are welcome and encouraged to join the organization.

Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

bullet
Camping & camping/survival skills
bullet
Grade appropriate leadership training
bullet
Activities promoting community pride & involvement through outreach activities such as helping in downtown soup kitchens, collecting food for the disadvantaged, cleaning & maintaining city and county parks, visiting and encouraging the elderly, and MANY more
bullet
Interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational, and outreach areas, with awards (honors) given for successful completion of the interactive training modules
bullet
Personal care and encouragement by a caring staff member! While many school classrooms have 10-30 students per teacher, Pathfinders offers AT LEAST a 1 staff member to every 5 Pathfinder ratio!

Welcome to all Current & Future Pathfinder and Parents!

It’s a new Pathfinder year and the time has come for us to get things started. We have a whole line up of events to start the year. Included in this site there is a calendar that will give you a little idea of what is in store. Our first event will be on (To Be Announced.) This will be a casual meeting, which will give us a chance to catch up with each other, meet any new Pathfinders & Staff and register for the new year.

The age for entering Pathfinders is 10 years old or in you must be in the 5th grade. The cost for registration this year is $25.00 due in August and an additional $20.00 due in January. All necessary forms for registration can be picked up at the first meeting .

Each month  we will try to have a planned community service project. This will give us the opportunity to go out into the communities and let people know who we are.

Now that the change in the Pathfinder uniform is official, each Pathfinder will need to have a Class “A” Uniform. More information will be given out at the first meeting. The club T-Shirt will also be needed and will still be available.

We have several honors that we plan to work on this year. We would like to extend an invitation to any parents or others who would be interested in teaching or helping out with a particular honor. This would not have to be a full time commitment. If you are willing to help out at just a couple of meetings we would love to have you.

Honors and patches that were earned last year or over the summer will be handed out at a special ceremony that is being planned.

Our regular meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

We look for this to be a fantastic year full of new experiences, honors and hopefully more Pathfinders. Feel free to invite a friend if you would like to share these experiences to them.

We look forward to seeing you all!
